Christmas Sale, Polls, And Other Updates!

Hullo, friends! It’s hard to believe that it’s already December and that 2021 is almost over! This year has flown by far too fast. I just wanted to hop on here and give you guys a few updates!

First, I’m having a Christmas sale! If you haven’t had a chance to read The Villain Who Saved Christmas yet, this weekend is your chance to pick it up for FREE on Amazon! The ebook will be free from Friday, December 3 through Sunday, December 5. If you’ve already read it, I would really appreciate it if you could leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads or share the link with your friends and family to help promote the short story. It’s a fun, cute, quick read. and it’ll be free, so why not check it out?

Second, a writing update! Throughout November, I was working on getting back into the groove of writing for fun. I joined a writer’s group at my school, and it’s been a lot of fun writing short pieces and workshopping them with friends. I also took the opportunity to work on Forcefield, which is now almost at 40,000 words! The progress is slow, but once I finish a few finals, I should be able to kick it up a notch. My goal is to finish it before Christmas, so wish me luck!

Finally, due to some updates with Amazon Publishing, I now have the option to create hardcover versions of Twinepathy and Lightporter! This isn’t something I had really considered before, but I’m very excited about the possibility. Before I jumped headfirst into that project, thought, I wanted to get your thoughts and see whether or not anyone would actually be interested in hard cover copies of these books.

Additionally, I’m looking at creating a small paperback version of The Villain Who Saved Christmas; something that could be given out as a small gift or stocking stuffer. However, since it’s a short story, I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested. What are your thoughts?

The Hills of Innocence Trilogy Blog Tour

Hullo, everyone! Today I’m participating in the blog tour for the first book in the Hills of Innocence Trilogy by Willowy Whisper, The Innocent. I picked this book up on Amazon almost right after it was published, and I was so excited by how awesome it was! I’ll stop rambling and get on with the review… although I may or may not ramble in the review. 😉

I have never been a big fan of Western books.

I’ve figured out that this is because most Western books I’ve read fit into one of two categories: school-ish historical fiction or romance. Neither of those are my type, and most of the ones I’ve read are horribly cliché, as well.

But this one… sure, it has some romance, but it’s a Western mystery! And that, my friends, was what hooked me from the start.

The book jumps right into the action. While our main character, Harvey, is investigating, Willowy gives us little hints to unravel ourselves. If you pay attention, you can figure it out before the characters do! I sort of did, although it was more like a very, very strong guess. 😉 And I was right!

The Innocent had me hooked from the very beginning, and I seriously only put it down once. I found the characters memorable and intriguing, and the plot was absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns, and I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, fast-paced read!

Writing, Marketing, And Other Wonderful Things

I mentioned in when I did the 777 Writing Challenge that I would tell you more about my work-in-editing soon. And I believe this is a wonderful time to do that.

But, first, some updates on Paralyzed Dreams!

I finished the first book in my new series! It’s in the editing stage now (which I’m procrastinating, of course). I may have mentioned it before, but now it’s time to officially announce the title of the series. Now. Right here.

Big News, Y’all (Texas-Sized)

*deep calming breath*

It may be hard for me to get through this post with using too many exclamation points/italics/all caps, but I’ll try to tone it down.

First off, the least exciting of the two pieces of news… I finished the first draft of my WIP… which is not a work in progress anymore. 🙂 I’m so glad to have finished it. My reaction was a combination of relief and…

Now for the second piece of super exciting news… the really, really big one.

I am officially a published author.

She lost everything she’d ever dreamed of.
