The Avengers: We Have A Tiger – Part Three

At the request of the amazing erinkenobi2893, I’ve decided to post this Avengers fan fiction I wrote a while back. It’s quite long (twenty-eight pages) so it’s going to be split into quite a few parts. I hope that you will all enjoy it!

*DISCLAIMER: This story is based off of the end of The Avengers. There are illusions to spoilers for said movie, so read with caution, but most are not major. Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, are not taken into account, and have not been watched by the author. That said, enjoy.

Part Two

(Apologies on how short these sections are. The next section is super long.)

“This is your cell,” Thor said, opening the door and guiding the girl into the small room. He watched as she walked around the perimeter and then sat down on the bed. She looked up at him shyly.

“Thank you,” she said, her voice almost musical. Thor felt a twinge of something inside of him.

“Why would you not talk?” he asked. She shook her head and closed her mouth again. He sighed and left the cell, locking the door securely behind himself. He looked back at her. She was watching him. “Could you tell me your name?” he asked cautiously.

She paused, thinking. She sighed and finally relented. “Aila.”

Thor smiled encouragingly and left the room. He was pretty sure she was older than she was acting, but she still seemed so innocent and vulnerable. And scared.

———

“She’s in her cell?” Fury asked. Thor confirmed the question with a nod as he closed the door to the meeting room. He sat down in one of the chairs as Fury gave him the updated plan. “Did you learn anything when you put her in the cell?” Fury asked after he finished.

“Her name is Aila,” Thor said.

“You learned her name? How?” Natasha asked.

Thor shrugged. “She thanked me when I put her in her cell, and I asked what her name was. She told me.”

Fury stared at him for a second before shaking his head. “All right, Natasha. Why don’t you try your hand at her.” Natasha nodded and left the room.
