Updates And A Schedule Change

Hullo, everyone! Not expecting a post today, were you? This is going to be just a short update post with a few changes in store, so let’s get on with it!

The first update-change: I will be temporarily pausing posting of Twinepathy. Right now, I’m working on editing the story, and some things are being changed in parts that have already been posted. Because of that, I think it’s necessary to stop posting while I finish editing and get ready for a final once-over before publishing. (Soooo close, guys!) I know you guys are on pins and needles, but hang in there! You’ll get more soon, hopefully!

But in lieu of posting Twinepathy… What am I going to post? I’ll be sticking with the Monday and Friday posting schedule I’ve had, but with different posts. Monday will be writing posts, about writing and storytelling in general, and topics that you guys can request (Have anything you want me to post about? You can post in the comments below asking me about them!). I currently have ideas for some posts about lessons from Star Wars: The Force Awakens about writing–specifically symbolism and speculation, and probably suspense too. Gotta have those S’s. I also have a few ideas for analyzing Captain America: Civil War for some storytelling techniques. So Mondays will be a lot of fun!

On Friday, I’ll be posting one of two things. I’ll either be posting something related to Twinepathy (fanart, fanfiction, collages, snippets, something like that) OR I’ll post something else I’ve written, like a short story or a fanfic. I’m currently brainstorming a fanfic for Civil War… Bucky and Sam are awesome, am I right?

So those are the changes that will be going on in the next few weeks. I hope you guys understand and enjoy the new schedule! I’ll leave all of you with this awesome collage that writefury made (You can check out some others she did for her own characters and other stories on her blog here.):

    • Thank you! They’re going okay so far. Really? I enjoyed it… but I’ve had an action-movie starved life until recently, so I love every movie I get to watch that has explosions in it. XD Comparing TFA and Civil War, though, I have to say Civil War was miles better. Just because they did some hard things with the characters (without using death). Like the first end credits scene… *hugs Bucky*

      • I mean, I have problems with the plot of Civil War but I just really don’t care BECAUSE I LOVE SEEING ALL THE CHARRIES INTERACTING SO MUCH AAAHH. ❤ And with The Force Awakens… I just really really really hated what they did to Han. That was not okay. -_- Plus it's depressing that you think they get a happily ever after at the end of Return of the Jedi, AND THEN THIS GOES AND RUINS IT BECAUSE EVERYTHING'S AWFUL AGAIN AND JUST WHY. That being said, I did REALLY enjoy TFA for aaaall the characters and humor and it was a great movie, just… some disappointments is all. 😛 BUT BUT CIVIL WAR AAAHH. ❤

        • Right???? I’m sure there were dozens of plot holes (because there’s no way to cover them all in a limited time) but IT’S BEAUTIFUL… 😀
I was sad that he and Leia were only sort of together… but not really. But I really liked the new characters! Rey and Poe and BB-8 and Finn… and the bro-ness between Poe and Finn… 😀 And the humor was great, too. 😉

  1. Good luck on your edits! I still need to finish up with my beta-ing, don’t I? Oh well . . . if I continue to forget like this (and then get too busy with the summer), I might end up just buying the book when it’s released. It will come out in print as well as eBook, right?
I may or may not be commenting less with the new schedule, as I *still* haven’t seen TFA. Or TWS. Or Civil War. Gah. Oh well.

    • If you don’t have time, it’s totally fine! I’ve gotten lots of feedback from my other betas (and my mom 😉 ). I’m hoping to publish it in the next few weeks, so if you want to skip it, that’s fine. I’m planning on doing print and e-book, yes. I wanted to do hardcover, but Createspace doesn’t have that.
That’s understandable. Some of the posts might be low-spoiler or spoiler-free, but I’ll be putting warnings and such at the top, so you’ll know.

      • Thanks. I do want to do it but I need to get ready for the summer and I also still need to finish beta-ing part one of LDTD so I can have part two during an upcoming thing. And good; I don’t like buying eBooks.
        Ok, good. Thank you!

        • I definitely get that. I’m trying to work in LDTD betaing with my editing and plotting for the Twinepathy sequel… it’s crazy. I’m excited to have a paperback version on my shelves. 😀
          You’re welcome!

  2. How. Can. You. Do this to us!?!
Oh wait, I haven’t even introduced myself yet.
This is Corissa; you might recognize me from the comments at authorhopeann.com or writefury.wordpress.com. It was at the latter that I discovered Twinepathy- and I LOVE it!
And it’s totally okay that you need some time for editing. I know how that goes. 😛
I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
