Hello, everyone!
As you may (or may not) know, the deadline for the Super-Duper Fan Fiction Crossover Challenge is quickly approaching. There’s only one week left for you to submit your entries!
If you haven’t started yet, there’s still plenty of time! It doesn’t take very long, especially if you already have an idea. I wrote Pevensie, my Captain America/Chronicles of Narnia crossover, in about half an hour, maybe less. And if you don’t have an idea…
Now that we’ve got that over with, let me get to the point of this post. To help you get your writing shoes one, all of tomorrow will be an ongoing word war! Here are the rules.
- Write for 30 minutes.
- Figure out your word count.
- Post the word count in the comments below.
- Repeat as many times as you want!
No prizes… this is just a fun way to motivate you to write! 🙂
I’m about halfway through with mine at the moment.
Oh, man. That Steve and Bucky picture is sooooo sad!

I knoooow! I want to go applaud whoever made it. 😉

Yep, I’m pretty sure I’ll finish on time. 🙂 Tony’s not impressed with the “high tech” Legos. XP
Yeah, there’s even the same feeling of “why can’t it just be like it used to be?” Just the wistful sadness is retained from both.

Yay! That sounds just right…
Exactly. I wish I could draw like that.

Well, didn’t have enough time for the half hour bit, but I got about 300 words in 9 minutes. 🙂

Ahhhhhh I have like no time tomorrow because Sundays are insane. (Church+Awana+Youth Group+schoolwork for the next day= busy-ness.) But I’m going to try to do at least one 30-minute stretch. Fingers crossed that it’ll be one of the fanfictions I have ideas for.

Awesome! I tend to just procrastinate on Sundays… I have time, I just don’t use it. 😛

And I ended up not having church today because of snow and ice. But I still have yet to write anything because I had to help clear the driveway and then I was too tired to do much of anything except read.

XD Ew, snow shoveling. We don’t live in a state with snow, but we helped my grandpa once. No fun.

I’m not sure if snow shoveling or ice scraping is worse. Shoveling is probably more tiring, but ice might be more annoying. 😛

Ooh, makes sense. When we did it, there was a layer of ice on top of the snow. Not sure if that’s worse or not. 😛

It’s worse when the ice is under the snow. Or when there’s no snow, just ice. At least a layer on top is usually thinner, I think.

Ah, that makes sense. Sometimes I’m glad we don’t get snow. 😉

*grins* I am totally taking you up on the challenge. *plans for tomorrow* And those memes, especially the Steve-Bucky one … and I love the Loki-steal-the-Declaration one, too. Oh, and Loki and Elsa. xD

XD Yeah, hopefully I’ll do it, too. 😉 The first time I saw the Bucky/Steve one, I got all choked up. Sooo sweet.

Yikes! I completely forgot! I’ll dot word war this afternoon after mass.
And I WILL finish my crossover! That I haven’t even started! *facepalm*

XD I’m glad I posted a reminder, then! Here’s to hoping that you finish on time! 😉

So…. question. If I finish part one and post that, does it still count? or does part two have to be posted?

Hmm… Well, as long as all of the characters are in the first part and everything, then I guess you could just do part one. If you post part two a few days after the deadline, I’ll probably still include it. 🙂

Ok, good. I’m pretty sure I’ll finish the whole thing in time, but If not, I’ve just finished part 1. 🙂

I suppose I’d better get cracking. Also, Steve and Bucky: “Do you want to build a snowman?” “Go away, Steve.” *bursts into tears* That hurt. *sobs uncontrollably* My heart is broken.
